REACT, and Jodie Glean Mitchell, have been a tremendous support and resource for us as an organization as we build out our Diversity, Inclusion, Equity, Accessibility Sustainability Plan. Jodie is an excellent facilitator, with the ability to make a large or small group feel at ease, even when it comes to sensitive subject matter. Her workshops are always engaging and extremely well thought out with clear learning objectives, compelling activities and most importantly a safe, trusted space for staff to participate. We are extremely grateful for the work we have done to date with REACT, and Jodie, and we look forward to building on that even further. ​

Nancy Simms shows leadership and guidance reflecting her dedication to advance equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) as foundational pillars in training clinical nurses who are professors. She covers a broad spectrum of EDI-related topics, thus enabling clinical nurses to effectively manage the myriad of issues currently present in healthcare. Nancy developed and facilitated human rights and equity trainings for clinical professors at several Ontario Colleges for over a decade. We noted a decrease in human rights related issues as we all learned how to better manage the presenting equity related concerns. Consequently this boosted our confidence and greatly improved our teaching practice.

Nancy Simms has been an incredible mentor to me in her professional and personal commitments to make this world a better place. She is a visionary leader, renowned in her field, who constantly reaches for a world that is grounded in equity and inclusion of all peoples. Nancy teaches an intersectional approach with kindness and authenticity rooted and balanced with lived experience and scholarly research. She both pushes and welcomes you/your organization to explore deep learning and implement proactive inclusive practices. I could never say enough amazing things about this incredible woman!
